Royal Society of Sculptors Summer Exhibition at Cromwell Place
Installation photographs by Jennifer Moyes (& a couple by me)
Featuring works by more than 20 members of the Royal Society of Sculptors, the Summer Show has been selected by guest curator Isabel de Vasconcellos
Isabel is a curator and cultural producer who also writes on contemporary art, photography and design. She is Director of Sculpture for Messums Wiltshire and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
"I had such a great time looking through the submissions to the Royal Society of Sculptors Summer Show this year. The quality was amazing, and curatorially, there were several directions I could have taken in my selection. Given more space, I would’ve chosen two or even three themes to explore, but in the end, there was a particularly strong confluence of works that touched on landscape and the natural world. I think together they will make for a poetic and transporting exhibition, with a touch of humour thrown in."
The exhibition is being held at Cromwell Place during their ongoing restoration works at Dora House (the Royal Society of Sculptors permanent home in South Kensington).
